Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps in Norway Q4 2021

In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top maps and navigation applications in Norway displayed diverse trends in downloads and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights the performance of Vy, Yango — different from a taxi, SpTH, Bolt: Request a Ride, and Circle K Home and Workplace.

Vy's weekly downloads started strong with approximately 6.1K in early October, peaking at around 7.3K by mid-October. However, the latter part of the quarter saw a decline, finishing with about 3.4K downloads in the last week of December. Active users mirrored this trend, starting from about 14.5K and decreasing to around 11.2K by the end of the quarter.

Yango — different from a taxi experienced a significant boost in downloads, starting at around 2.8K in the first week of October and surging to approximately 8.7K by the end of December. Active users also saw a substantial increase, beginning at about 3.9K and ending the quarter with around 10.3K.

SpTH had a more stable performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 1.3K and 0.7K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight decline from around 1.9K in early October to approximately 1.4K in late December.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a consistent pattern in downloads, starting at around 3.5K and ending at roughly 2.9K. Active users remained relatively steady, beginning at about 14.8K and slightly decreasing to 14.0K by the end of December.

Circle K Home and Workplace maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 1.5K and ending with similar figures. Unfortunately, active user data for this app was not available.
